While bricks, paint buckets and wood boards were all finding their right place, the branding concept for Berlin-based Neapolitan pizzeria Prometeo was still undefined. This let us free to sketch the wide range of integrated designs that now connect interiors, stationery, menus and in-house displays.
Working in a constant connection with Prometeo’s founder, Brrrands has developed design themes inspired by what really defines a true pizzeria, with its origins, motifs and atmosphere.
Visiting Prometeo is now a journey, unfolding around a mosaic of traditions and history. Pastel walls surround a rich wooden floor, and the high-contrast pattern of a tiled area conveys a sense of dynamic equilibrium. The very same pattern greets the visitors once more on the back of the unique playing cards sets that we designed for Prometeo.
Italian decks consist of four suits – Swords, Clubs, Cups and Pentacles – and their century-old designs vary for each region. For Prometeo, Augusto Siccardi has drawn a whole new set of illustrations, and inspired by the charm of traditional Neapolitan folk art has thought up four new foodie suits: Spoons, Forks, Wine Cups and Tomatoes.
