Contemi’s business model is an example of global creativity and Nordic rigor. Born out of a Nowegian insurance company which branched out to include IT and app development for the financial sector, startup monitoring and counseling services, Contemi needed a corporate identity able convey the boldness of its vision and present complex services through a smooth interface.
For their desktop and mobile website, stationery sets and internal documents we chose to borrow the minimal design and the deep, elegant red and blue of the Norwegian and British flags, designing a brand identity guide that combines a sense of strength with an original, elegant vibe.
The solidity of geometric and square patterns is balanced by the circular logo and the softer typeface we developed exclusively for Contemi. The font is based on Kaleko Round, and its round gentleness complements the hi-tech feel of Contemi, staying fresh without being cold.
Contemi specializes in global cooperations, managing Asian tech outsourcing, UK market operations and the strength of Scandinavian innovation; our task was to give them better communication tools, and being part of this network in a smooth way. We followed the Contemi project remotely, but with the highest satisfaction of our client; for Brrrands and our project partner Startlingbrands it was a successful experiment of long-distance design.
